My Gluten Free Valentine’s Day Chocolate Fondue Charcuterie Board was such a hit that I decided to make a Gluten Free Valentine’s Day Dessert Charcuterie Tray with all my favorite gluten free desserts. This one is even easier than my Fondue board because you don’t have to mess with the chocolate melting pot. However, what is a Valentine’s Day Dessert Charcuterie without chocolate covered strawberries!
Gluten Free Valentine’s Day Dessert Charcuterie Ingredients
- Chocolate covered strawberries
- Easy, Gluten Free, Baked Vanilla Donut Recipe with sprinkles!
- I have another yummy Fluffy, Yeast Raised Gluten Free Donuts recipe that’s amazing but it does take more time and effort to proof and fry them. The Easy, Gluten Free, Baked Vanilla Donut Recipe is super easy and minimal time!
- Chocolate covered Snyder’s Pretzel Rods
- Chocolate candy – I used Dove Valentine’s Caramel & Milk Chocolate Love Notes
- Valentine M&M’s Cupid Mix
- Gluten Free Snyder’s Pretzels or Gluten Free Snyder’s Pretzel Sticks
- Gluten Free Golden Oreos
- Gummy Bears – I used the Haribo Valentine Gummy Bears (see my notes regarding these below)
- Black Forest Valentines Gummy Hearts 80 Count 0.6 Ounce Pouches in Box – Walmart.com or Albanese World’s Best 12 Flavor Gummi Bears, 7.5oz Regular Size – Walmart.com: These are a great alternative to gummy bears and you can just pick out the Valentine’s day colors
- Valentine’s tray or cutting board for laying the items on. I used a Valentine’s Day tray from the Dollar Tree Plus section for $5
- Valentine’s day cups to keep items separate (optional). I got the cups in the photos from the Dollar Tree Plus section, 50 cups for $3!
- I got the red smaller Heart tray from the dollar tree in the Valentine’s section.
Haribo Gummy Bears
These Haribo Gummy Bears are controversial because they say “contains wheat”, however, the wheat containing ingredients are glucose syrup and dextrose. After research – these ingredients are considered gluten free because the production process involves a high level of hydrolysis, which breaks down the gluten protein. These are not “wheat free”. There is a difference if you have a wheat allergy. You can read more about that at these references: Glucose Syrup is Gluten-Free » Celiac Disease (celiac-disease.com), Is glucose syrup gluten-free? (surefoodsliving.com), Is Dextrose Gluten-Free – Tayler Silfverduk, Are Haribo Gummy Bears Gluten-free? (silfverduk.us)
I highly recommend Tayler Silfverduk’s Label Reading Course for more information on allergen statements, cross contact, and this “contains wheat” statement on the Haribo Gummy Bear product.

Putting together the Gluten Free Valentine’s Day Dessert Charcuterie Board
I put the smaller things like M&Ms, gummy bears and small chocolates in the Valentine themed cups I got from Dollar Tree Plus section. I put the donuts on a small heart tray. Then, I layered the other items around the cups and small tray. It’s super easy to throw together. If you don’t have time to do chocolate covered or to bake your own donuts then you could leave those out. You could just do the packaged items, regular fresh strawberries, add in more fruit, or add in more different types of candy or gluten free cookies.
