I love this Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake for a quick breakfast on the go or for a midday snack to increase my protein intake. It’s easy to feel limited eating gluten free and when you are trying to eat high protein it can seem even harder to reach that goal when you’re limited to gluten free foods. I find a lot of high protein foods are naturally gluten free but then a lot of recipes I see that look yummy have gluten such as the high protein pancake mixes or high protein breads and tortillas.
I love this recipe because it is gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. It fills me up for a while with all the good carbs and protein added in.
Ingredients I use for this Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I use Hershey’s Cocoa Powder
- Peanut Butter Fit
- Banana
- Protein Powder of choice (I use Owyn Plant Based Protein Powder-Vanilla)
- Almond Milk or milk of choice
- Ice – I use about a cup. This amount depends on the consistency of shake you like. Add less if you want it thinner and add more if you want the shake thicker.
To make this recipe, add all ingredients into the blender and blend for 45 seconds to 1 minute. Start with a smaller amount of ice and add as needed to get the consistency desired.
