I love a good charcuterie board so when I had the opportunity to make a dessert for a luncheon at work, I chose to bring a Gluten Free Valentine’s Day Fondue Charcuterie Board. Most of the ingredients for my fondue charcuterie board are naturally gluten free.
Valentine’s Day Fondue Charcuterie Ingredients
- Melted chocolate for dipping: I just used some chocolate I had on hand for this board which was the Great Value Chocolate Almond Bark. This one does not state gluten free on the packaging but I do not see any gluten containing ingredients or an allergy statement. I use the same chocolate for the Christmas candy truffles we make and have had no issues.
- Fresh fruit: I used strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and bananas. Pineapples and apples would go great with the chocolate, too!
- Marshmallows: mini or large. Either ones are fun!
- Gluten Free pretzel rods. I used Snyder’s Pretzel Rods. They are my favorite brand of gluten free pretzels. You can add regular pretzels or the thinner pretzel sticks, too.
- Gluten Free home made donuts. I have two donut recipes on my website that are delicious. The donuts in this picture are the mini baked donuts that are SO easy! You can find my recipe to these donuts here. They are gluten free and keto friendly! I also have my Fluffy, Yeast Raised Gluten Free Donuts that are amazing but they do take longer to make due to the proofing and frying.
- Board or tray: I got this heart shaped tray from Dollar Tree in the $5 section! So cute and cheap.
- Fondue: You can use a true fondue pot like mine here or you can heat up the chocolate and keep it in a bowl. If it’s for a longer duration party, I would recommend a fondue or warming pot because the chocolate will harden rather fast.
Putting the Board Together
Once you gather all the ingredients you would like to use, you literally just toss everything on the tray of your choosing. I wasn’t sure how fast the chocolate bark I used would melt, so I did melt it beforehand in the microwave and then I transferred it to the fondue pot to keep it nice and warm. I turned it off at one point because the lunch was over and the chocolate hardened. I turned it back on and it was melted again with 30 minutes. Such an easy and cute idea for a party, work luncheon, or family night!
